Honors and Awards

Congratulations to CNT co-Director Rajesh Rao who was awarded a UW + Amazon Science Hub Faculty Research Award for his project titled “Self-Supervised Learning of Part-Whole Hierarchies for Semantic Scene Understanding, with Applications to Representing Densely Packed Bins and Mobile Robotics.”
Congratulations to Courtnie Paschall who won the CNT Perfect Pitch Contest. Courtnie will represent the CNT when she competes in the national Perfect Pitch Contest at the 2022 NSF Engineering Research Center Biennial Meeting in September.

This summer, UW ECE labs are hosting five undergraduate students from across the country who are learning about neurotechnology. The students are part of a larger cohort placed at labs across the UW campus to take part in the Research Experience for Undergraduates through the Center for Neurotechnology.

Students in the 2022 CNT Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program presented their work at a symposium on August 17, 2022. Applications for the summer 2023 CNT REU program will be available later this year.
