- Congratulations to University of Washington undergraduate students Rachel Mariko Iritani and Makaha Jordan Mharmo (Yazdan Lab) who received Mary Gates Scholarships.
- Congratulations to Maneeshika Madduri (Orsborn Lab/Burden Lab) who was a best student paper award finalist (top 3) for her 2022 Cyber-Physical & Human Systems Conference paper titled “Co-Adaptive Myoelectric Interface for Continuous Control.”
- Congratulations to Zachary Ip (Yazdan Lab) for defending his PhD thesis (“Vascular conditions alter hippocampal neurophysiology and cortico-hippocampal communication”) successfully.
- Toni Haun, lab manager in the Yazdan lab, was recognized last month in the collaboration category at the UW Distinguished Staff Award Reception for her excellent work within the lab and with the lab’s collaborators at the UW and across the country.

The CNT participated in last month’s
Brain Awareness Week. High school students from the
Neuroscience for Neurodiverse Learners program and elementary students from Wellington Elementary School visited the CNT to learn about neural engineering and neuroscience. CNT faculty, students and staff also visited classrooms around the Puget Sound area to speak with young students.
